Young children are often taught that God or their parents or teachers watch their actions.\u00a0 The strategy behind this is that they would be more likely to behave as desired if they felt that an authority figure would know when they\u2019re doing something contrary to established rules.\u00a0 Out of fear of punishment, children will often POLICE their own behavior.\u00a0 What if this idea of being WATCHED applied to being caught doing things right;<\/strong> behaving kindly to others or wisely applying long-tern thinking?\u00a0\u00a0 We watch, WITNESS, our own behavior.\u00a0 When have you caught yourself doing SOMETHING RIGHT?\u00a0 What did you do?\u00a0 Why was this action important to you?\u00a0 How did you recognize yourself for your good actions?\u00a0 How can you reinforce good actions with your own expressions of gratitude?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
