Very often, people get caught up judging what they receive, comparing it to what they might have been hoping for or comparing a gift received to one received at another time. There\u2019s genuinely something wonderful about giving or receiving where thought has gone into selecting the item. There’s also something special about being in the moment when something is received; when no judgments or attachments come into play. Recall a time when you received something with no expectations. It could be a piece of clothing or tickets to a sporting event or performance. Or maybe you were just conscious of it being a beautiful day or you experienced peace in an unexpected setting. Maybe you received an insight. Write a few paragraphs about receiving something without attachment, as a gift. Ask yourself how you could bring some of this\u00a0 openness to other situations.<\/p>\n
