I think about Christmas in July celebrations and promotions. I guess the idea behind the observance is commercially motivated, geared to having two Black Fridays in the course of a year. I think Thankfulness, or at least appreciation, should be practiced all the time. Moments of reflection and appreciation don’t require exposure to anything special. In fact, the more commonplace the experience, the more you might benefit from a minute to think about how it makes your life easier, more meaningful; or more pleasurable. It can also be an eye opener to consider being a tourist, and being exposed to something as if for the first time.
