Honoring feelings and giving life to them is an important aspect of being impacted by positive emotions like gratitude.  A wonderful practice is to imagine the feelings of objects in the scene you’re in. When you record a scene of gratitude or even commit the details of an experience to memory for later recall, the more you’ll be able to re-ignite those feelings in you.

For an hour or so, imagine the feelings of every object you see as if they were alive like you. Think about your desk chair or pillow or cutting board or…How might they feel?
