The old adage, “It’s better to give than receive,”  carries a lot of truth.  Can you recall a circumstance where you gave something and felt grateful to be at this side of the transaction?  What was given?  Who was involved?  Was there an expectation of reciprocity? Why do you think giving in this circumstance felt so good?
