We are all Pilgrims: Free Talk and Discussion

Pilgrims are people that make great, often arduous journeys of moral or spiritual significance. Thanksgiving paintings of modestly clothed pilgrims from England sharing food with indigenous people represent limited examples of enjoying the fruit of such a journey. Every year, pilgrimages are made throughout the world to trace to lives of saints. Pilgrimages are also made to find our own hearts, that which is perfect and whole within us. Join us for this talk and discussion on pilgrimages we all make to find ourselves.

Wednesday, November 16th, 7:00 PM CT (Email deborah@nosmallthing.net to reserve your spot. The first 30 people will be sent links for this program.)

Hello, Columbus: Free Talk and Discussion

We celebrate October 12th as “Columbus Day” to recognize Christopher Columbus’s discovery of the Americas. The date is often celebrated as an Italian heritage, “pride” day, as Columbus hailed from Genoa. While his travels can stir up thoughts about adventure and exploration, the discovery of America might also be the greatest lesson in humbly adjusting plans. When the New World was discovered, Columbus was actually in search of something else, a more direct route to the Far East. Join us for this talk and discussion on valiant efforts and unplanned discoveries.

BASKING IN THE LIGHT; TALK AND DISCUSSION

The focal point of June is the 21st, the summer solstice, when people in the northern hemisphere experience the most hours of daylight. It seems to be easier to hold on to hope and optimism when the sun shines on our everyday activities. Join me for this talk and discussion on generating “light” from the inside, why it’s a boon to learn how to illuminate your experiences by how you look at them.
