Have you ever practiced memorizing a moment?  Often, memories can last years, or even a lifetime. Why? Emotional connections are made from the details of the moment.  Whether consciously or unconsciously, you made emotional connections with the sights and sounds and scents of an experience. Think of any moment from today where you felt some level of contentment.  Close your eyes. Recall some details of the experience. Consider how to catch yourself when you’re feeling good and commit to memory some of the details of the experience.  It could be as simple as the way somebody’s hair smelled or laughing with a friend over his comment on you having a bit of food on your cheek. Spend some time every day looking at your life as if you were preserving a memory.
