  • How intentional gratitude is more empowering than routines listing “happy” outcomes.
  • Techniques of self-inquiry, helping you align your actions with values.
  • How to develop your own unique list of personal gratitude themes.
  • How to use your themes to elevate your mood in new situations.

Gratitude Journal 2.0

Don’t leave having grateful feelings to chance! Instead of a gratitude practice that features regularly recording pleasant outcomes that are outside your control, learn a new approach to gratitude journaling that focuses on developing your own personal gratitude themes and using them to elevate your mood.

This 21-week self-study course provides a guide on how to employ journaling in a satisfying and effective gratitude practice.

Course content, provided in weekly lessons sent by email, will feature journaling “prompts” and will address building self-awareness and amplifying positive emotions. Lessons are designed to help you formulate your personal gratitude themes, identify what you’re grateful for, turn observations into stories and writing for a “listening friend.”

The fee for this 21-week self-study course is $79. Contact deborah@nosmallthing.net to register.

Deborah gave a two-part presentation to members of our community on her method for practicing gratitude. She was engaging, thoughtful in her feedback, and created an intimate environment where attendees comfortably shared their thoughts in a group discussion. This is not an easy task, especially in a virtual environment! We can count ourselves grateful for having Deborah as a guest speaker of the Village, and look forward to the opportunity to host her again in the future.

I thought I knew enough about being grateful and went in with the attitude of “what can she teach me?” But she did! I loved learning about (gratitude) themes and am already observing how I use them and where I can add more.

I liked the new approach to gratitude, not just listing things, but finding patterns and things that tie together the things I appreciate. And I really like the idea of being able to walk into any situation and finding that what I love is already there! That's just a beautiful way to look at life.
