Supposedly, the expression, “Have a ball” started in the late 1800s. A ball was a special occasion when ladies and gentlemen were hosted in fine style; provided with food and drink and music. They danced and flirted and probably caught up with gossip. Not supplied with streaming entertainment as we are now, balls were much anticipated and not easily forgotten. Think of three things that would approximate a “ball” to you, in terms of entertainment or social interaction or being a “special” occasion.  Why are these things important to you?
