Can you think of situations when you trusted someone too quickly? When you withheld your trust because of past experiences that weren’t comparable?  Have you ever been afraid of doing something new and later regretted that you didn’t give things a try?  What did you learn from these situations? Have you developed a sense for when a risk is worth taking? Did you gratefully acknowledge yourself for trying to learn from difficult experiences, that the answer is not to shut down, but rather to proceed mindfully?
