Think of three experiences for which you were especially grateful. Maybe you tried a sport or hobby you didn’t think you’d be good at and discovered your proficiency didn’t matter. Or, maybe while you were in your back yard, you found yourself amused by the teen next door playing his boom box. Or maybe you discovered a forgotten book or piece of jewelry while cleaning your house. What role might “surprise” have played in your enjoyment?  What might you have “let go” before you experienced the pleasure of the moment.
