Perhaps you’ve noticed changes in abilities or different kinds of losses as you’ve aged. Do you give as much thought to what is easier or more enjoyable for you at this stage of your life? Maybe reflecting on this could be a good exercise in gratitude consciousness. That it’s harder for me to lose weight, that I can no longer do splits or drink all night (without suffering the next day) might be on one side of the ledger. But I can afford and discern different qualities in better bottles of wine. I’m not jealous of famous or extremely wealthy people (now that I understand they have their own struggles and disappointments). I am very happy wearing last year’s coat and don’t feel compelled to refresh my wardrobe to be IN STYLE. These things are among the pluses of aging for me. How has life been getting better for you?
