Think of the last time you were engaged in an activity where you had no specific goal, no expectations, and gave yourself permission to try something new.  Maybe you lost track of time. What were you doing?  What made this moment special for you?  When I was in college, I worked in my cafeteria washing dishes. I played a game with myself. I imagined being in a world class competition of the task I was doing at the time, maybe scraping plates within a certain amount of time or loading saucers onto a moving conveyor belt in an industrial dishwasher. Playing, as I performed a mundane task, made the time enjoyable. Reflect on a time when you brought play to a task in your everyday life and think about how you can play more often.
