Have you ever observed yourself doing something you do habitually and without thought, something like putting the Sunday paper in the recycling bin or emptying the dishwasher and putting plates and utensils in the proper place?  Perhaps, it’s a good time to really observe everything that goes into this routine event; the details and your feelings.  Maybe, as you break the action down into parts, you can think about anything special you do and your intention. Consider how you can turn this experience into a ritual.  For instance, I can look at taking the Sunday paper out to the recycling bin as a chance to take a final look at a headline or advertisement that might contain information I need to see. This elevates my experience of the task. It makes it a ritual in my life. Write about some action you perform routinely and give thought to how they could be meaningful to you.
