Write a thank you note to yourself. It’s important that you don’t just list things. You should also note why those things matter to you. As example, it might be great to thank yourself for the many times when you’ve been patient. It’s even more revealing and more emotionally resonant if you thank yourself for being patient “because” things can often turn out better than you might have thought or “because” in being patient you already started “accepting” whatever happens.
