In various jobs I had when I was a teenager, I recall having to take inventory. There are various reasons. A company may want to see whether items they have on hand matches what they bought from suppliers. They want to understand losses due to theft or breakage. They may want to develop their buying or marketing strategy around analyzing what merchandise seems to move (and what doesn’t). Taking stock is different for individuals. Periodically examining objects or beliefs that you hold can be an incredible chance to check your ALIGNMENT, to see if the things you accumulate or spend time with reflects what you most care about. Examine the contents of a drawer or file you haven’t looked at in a while. What can you notice you’ve saved? Are there any objects you forgot you had? Why do you think you have kept some things? What does this inventory exercise tell you about what you want to keep, what you want to part with, and what you’re grateful for?
