I have a friend who is quite the gardener. Years ago, when we’d go to the botanical gardens just outside of town, she could point out different flowers and tell me their common name and often their name in Latin. She could often explain whether they liked sun or shade or needed a lot of water.  I would laugh and say,, “Great shade of orange.”’   I am sure there are subjects where I am curious to know something in more depth and other things for which I am just grateful for the exposure. Think of three things in your life where greater scientific knowledge has enhanced your appreciation for that thing.  Think of three things you love for no specific reason.
