There are many quotes about the dangers of standing still. We’re often warned that “Life will pass you by.”   Yet, it’s so easy to become addicted to change, to convince yourself that you need to buy the newest technology, to buy a certain kind of jacket to be on trend, etc. Even if you’re less acquisitive and more spiritually inclined, it’s so easy to become stuck in “search” mode, that you forget to fully take in what’s in front of you.  Think about a time when life stood still for you. Maybe you experienced a moment of unexpected joy or just accomplished something that was a goal for a long time.  What did you see that you don’t always notice? What might you have discovered being especially grateful for?
