Poet, Joyce Kilmer, created the famous verse, “I think that I shall never see/A poem lovely as a tree.”  Think about what trees mean to you?  Do you have favorite tree from childhood? Perhaps one you built a house or retreat in? A tree whose leaves fell to the ground every fall and created camouflage or a soft landing for outdoor games?  Did you ever see a tree that so eloquently told a story of the history it witnessed without uttering a word?  Write a few paragraphs about trees or about a particular tree. Get into your feelings; why you love it and what it means to you? Think about how your words might connect with someone who also holds a special place in their heart for a tree, a place of conscious gratitude and enrichment for the awareness.
