It’s not uncommon to do mirror work as part of one’s healing journey, a practice popularized by Louise Hay.  The basic idea is recite positive affirmations while looking at your image in a mirror. By looking at yourself while making such statements, you can see where you have resistances,  where you might need to let go of judgments and develop self-acceptance. It’s also a good place to thank yourself. Once a day, take a few minutes to be with your reflection and thank yourself for your good qualities, for what you like about yourself, or for actions that demonstrate your good heart. Even if you’re having a bad hair day or are facing disappointment, it’s good — even empowering — to get into the habit of giving attention to things that connect you with love.
