The most infamous two-lettered word is probably NO.  People laugh about how toddlers like to invoke it.  It’s a very simple way to impose their will. Adults fear it.  It is associated with rejection. Mostly well-adjusted men and women don’t like to hear, “No sale,”  “I don’t want to go on a date,” or, “No, we don’t have it in your size.” But declaring what you don’t want often serves as a space holder for something more desirable to take its place. Write a few paragraphs about something that you said ‘No” to. What took its place that might have filled you with joy and gratitude?
