Think of an instance when you received something that surprised you. Perhaps money came to you from an unexpected source, or someone you haven’t talked to in ages found you on Facebook and made contact, or you found a book you had forgotten about that had the exact words you needed to see. Think about what you had received “out of the blue.” Write a few paragraphs (or something longer). What did this thing mean to you? The source? The experience of receiving this as a surprise?
